What you should know about Disordered Gambling:
Help is available at no out of pocket cost!
For most adults, gambling can be a source of entertainment like one would go to a movie, out to eat or dancing. It can be a chance to socialize with others in a fun, safe and exciting atmosphere—and perhaps, win some money. Gambling games can include activities like casino slots, cards and dice, lottery, bingo, racing (cars, dogs, and horses), sports betting, internet gambling, sweepstakes, commodities, and the stock market.
For others, "gambling is a behavior which causes disruptions in any major area of life - psychological, physical, social, or vocational." Free counselors are available to gamblers or anyone affected by gambling.
